My Cozy Chai Tea Latte Recipe

The kitchen is my favorite place as I always considered it as my hub of innovations.

So, I decided to share my another favorite cozy drink Chai Tea Latte recipe with you. So, buddies, are you excited?

Here we go.

The drink I am making today is a warm, spicy, and creamy Chai Tea Latte. It’s simple to make at home and trust me, it smells amazing while brewing. Those who are excited, let me share my Chai Tea Latte recipe with you.

Chai Tea Latte

What Things You Need To Make Chai Tea Latte

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk (I used whole milk, but almond or oat works too!)
  • 2 tsp black tea leaves (or 1 strong black tea bag)
  • 1–2 tsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2–3 cardamom pods
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2–3 whole cloves
  • A pinch of freshly grated nutmeg (optional)
  • A small piece of fresh ginger (optional, for a spicy kick)

Let’s Start Making Chai Tea Latte

Boil the spices:

I started by pouring the water into a small saucepan and added cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and a pinch of nutmeg. I let it simmer gently for 3–4 minutes so all the flavors came alive. Within a few seconds I started smiling because now my kitchen instantly smelled like a cozy café.

Brew the tea:

Next, I added my black tea leaves to the spiced water and let it brew for about 2–3 minutes. If you like it stronger, you can brew a little longer but as I always think about balance I brew it for less time to make it perfectly balanced with the spices.

Add milk and sugar:

Then came my favorite part. It’s Pouring the Milk! I stirred in sugar while gently heating the mixture, making sure it didn’t boil over. I love seeing the tea turn that creamy caramel color.

Strain and serve:

I make everything perfectly blended before staining the chai into my favorite cup. I topped it with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a tiny dash of nutmeg for extra cozy vibes.

Sip & enjoy:

And just like that, my homemade chai tea latte was ready. I curled up by the window with it, watching the steam rise and smelling all those warm spices. Honestly, making this at home feels so comforting, especially on a chilly morning or cozy evening.

Tips From My Kitchen

  • You can frost the milk with a frother if you want that café-style foam.
  • Adjust the spices according to your taste. Those who love more spice in drinks not in life add more ginger and more cinnamon for sweetness.
  • Make a bigger batch and keep it warm for the perfect homemade chai party!
